Zoya Swatches!
Hi there my lovely lovemuffins!
If you aren't yet aware Zoya is having a fantastic promo right now! Try 3 for free, just pay $10 (US) for S&H (Ends 01/13/13). I'm getting Skylar, Storm and Zuza. While I'm (impatiently) waiting for my order to come I thought I'd swatch all the Zoyas I already have :)
These aren't all the best as I forgot my clean up brush at home :( But you still get the idea ;)
I even labeled them! The silver is Trixie and the black is Raven :) I just thought it'd look cool to do them that way. I'm still wearing Tallulah on my left hand and I have a gorgeous pink holo on my right (but I can't tell you about it yet lol). If you want to see the original pics not in collage form come over to the Facebook page!
Will you guys be getting any pretties from Zoya? Seriously their polish is amazing! It's so smooth, it applies effortlessly. Zoya Raven and Trizie are both pretty much one coaters. And most of the other ones I could have gotten away with one coat but 2 just made them all come alive. All Zoya polishes are big 5 free. Seriously y'all, this isn't a sponsored post, I just love Zoya that much!
Stay tuned for tomorrow! It's gonna be a great post :D
As always, thanks for stopping by :)
***All polishes shown here were bought and paid for by me!***

NYE Nails after the fact
Hi guys!!!! I've missed you :D I was on vacation from work and work is where I get the most done on here too lol. But now I'm back (even though it means I have to wear clothes again not my WalMart finest lol) and ready to get stuff done!
I didn't actually do my nails on NYE like the rest of the world. I wasn't feeling very well and just wasn't up to it. I figured okay, I'll do them in time for Frugal Polish's mini NYE nail contest...Yeah that didn't happen either lol. Okay then they'll be done in time for Shelly's Sassy Nails' Sassy Saturday contest. They were somewhat done but I just wasn't happy with them so didn't submit.
I used Rock N Roll by Wet N Wild from the first Fergie collection:
| So pretty in the bottle! |
But kind of plain lookin in the pics :( Every once in a while I would catch some pow of the little round holo glitters. Overall I like the mani but it wasn't my favorite by any means lol.
Application of this polish was pretty decent in general. I did have to really fish for the holo glitters though. I also am not a fan of these type of brushes which are the same in the Insta Dri. You know...the flat wide plastic part of the brush and the brush head is really big and rounded all weird. Might be good for full nail coverage but terrible for trying to do french tips!
The polish took a ton of coats to get that opaque plus another couple trying to get the stupid glitters. I really didn't want to use underwear though based on a little testing. So as a result I had a ton of polish on my tips! How'd I fix it? I used Tip Top Nails Toughen Up base coat which I've been using for the past few months, 1 coat of Savvy USA Blush, and tons of top coat. I literally just kept piling on the top coat until it was even with all the damn glitter. I couldn't even count how many coats it was anymore. Once it was even I did a full layer of top coat and wrapped my tips.
It was terrible, almost like a full set of acrylics with a glitter tip. I think it'll be relegated to the "pretty collection" not the "wear it a lot" pile lol. I did try to add some things with acrylic paints but nothin looked right so I took it off using rubbing alcohol (erases all mistakes made with acrylic paint!) and left it alone. I wish I would have: 1. Used the glue method (taking it off was terrible and I had to revert to the foil method) and 2. Remembered I wanted to mattify it before I took it off :(
Did you do your nails? Do you have this polish? What do you think?
As always, thanks for stopping by :)

Penis? 18+ only please!
Are you at least 18 years of age? Can you take a joke? If the answer is yes keep reading. If the answer is no then please go back to wherever you just came from.
Ok then for all of you still with me, I have some crazy nails! You may know I've been working on painting more and you also may know what this is already if you follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Penis Nails! Yes, of course, I had to lol. As one of my friends said, "no bees or butterflies for you when you decide to practice more realism!"
I should probably note that this is really only half a mani, I was in training that week and I didn't have time to do art on my right hand. Though it was gonna totally be almost as epic as the left.
Pics?
I'm not gonna explain what is what, if you can't figure it out you just aren't pervy enough lol.
Two coats of WnW Black Creme and the rest is acrylic paints that I mixed to make the perfect colors.
So what do you think? Would you ever do something really naughty like this?
As always, thanks for stopping by :)

Funky French with Flowers
One coat of Sinful Colors Amethyst; black, green, white and yellow acrylic paint (all Apple Barrel) and topped with Kleancolor Chunky Holo Purple and NYC Matte Me Crazy. My original intention was to just do the purple and black but then it needed something so I added the little flowers. Which made me realize I want to try more advanced art and get better which started the Robin watching lol. Stick around for the next post I promise it's going to be crazy!!!
So what do you think of the nails? I liked them! And they wore really well considering the tips were acrylic paint lol.
As always, thanks for stopping by :)

Catch-up nails and the glue method
Hi guys! Sorry for the brief absence this week, I had training at work and horrible morning hours :( Due to the training I wasn't at my desk which means no art :(
Last week I did do a quickie mani of black and pink acrylic tips, the pics are terrible and I didn't get any good ones. I'll show a pic anyhow though :)
Just a quickie mani that I did Halloween night before I got off of work. I made it matte using NYC Matte About You (for the first time!). It didn't last too long though lol. I took it off Sunday night and put on China Glaze's Nova over WnW Black. I used the glue method, since I didn't want to scrub glitter off but did want it to last all week through training. Yeah, not so much lol. It all came off the next day which is why there are no pics :( But here's some pics of the glue process:
I just poured regular school glue into an old nail polish bottle (NutraNails Quick Dry Top Coat) that I cleaned out. It works alright (there are lots of tutorials out there already). One note is that if you try to use polish remover it does not take the glue off, just the polish. And it doesn't last very long. I figure it's good for swatches or when I'm working the next day so I can redo them.
If you want to see what China Glaze's Nova looks like I also have it on my toes which you can see here. Other wise that's it for this post, I have a new mani to show you all too!

Halloween Nails
The witching hour is coming upon us and I'm seeing all kinds of scary nails! I thought I'd do a different take on Halloween nails though.
I used one coat of the silver (which really is almost an exact dupe as far as I'm concerned to Zoya's Trixie) and 4 coats of Kelly.
That's all you'll see of this hand right now lol. I'm gonna focus on the left just like always :P
I used water soluble inks for all the art. I figured out that they are actually easier to work with than acrylic paint since they come right off with water. So left to right: a cauldron, black cat, frog eating a fly and a wand. I'm pretty happy with the way they came out.
This is my good witch! The purple is acrylic paint as is the yellow. I just realized right now that I totally forgot to do the eyelashes *pouts*. Not the best yet lol but getting better all the time ;)
So what do you think? Are you doing themed nails?
As always, thanks for stopping by :)
| Silve is Fingerpaints Easel Come, Easel Go and the peach is Julep's Kelly |

Hope nails and my comeback
Oh man, it's been so long since I posted any new nail art I've almost forgotten what it's like!
I told y'all I got some new nail goodies and I'm gonna tell you what I got. Acrylic paints, brushes and water soluble ink. I'm a super fan! Well maybe not the ink so far, it's a little harder to work with than I thought so far. The reason for the ink and what am I doin with it? Stamping! Think how much easier it would be if you could just wipe off a messed up or misplaced stamp with water than it is with remover. Soooo much easier! It's not as opaque as I wanted but it's still a learning process. Anywho, the paints. Both harder and easier than I thought they would be. For this mani I used white acrylic paint with a little bit of pink water soluble ink (cuz how did I seriously not buy pink acrylic paint?!). But anywho, I used black acrylic paint for my tips. Harder than I thought as far as that goes but easier to do the ribbons than I thought.
I have more pics but they don't want to upload correctly :( The pinkish hint on my nail bed is Savvy USA Blush and the rhinestones were sent to me by a friend :) I put an extra coat of the Savvy on over the rhinestones to try to keep them on better but it turned out to be a bad idea. It got all bubbly. Looked way better before that!
Here's a terrible pic (sorry old camera) of just the tips. Acrylic paint dries matte and it looked pretty cool.
This mani is all about hope to me. The black because it's a dark time, the rhinestones because just because you feel like shit you are still beautiful.
That's it for this post, it feels great to be back though! I can't wait to play some more with my paints and such. AND it's getting closer to Halloween, yay! Can't wait to try some of my fun holiday stamps :D

Guest Nails: Tiffani
I did my friend Tiffani's nails :) I haven't really felt like doing mine but I had fun doing hers.
I used China Glaze Limbo Bimbo and Art Deco art polishes in white, black, silver and silver glitter. I'm pretty happy with the way they came out, particularly the right hand. I generally don't try to do abstract stripes lol. Just a quick post today, I'm gonna do my nails soon, I swear!

Don't stop... GET IT!! GET IT!!!
If you hang around the Facebook page with me then you may know that one of my favorite drivers passed away last Saturday night. I never formally met him but I held a lot of respect for him despite that. He was an outstanding driver and almost always won. He was also a father and a friend to many people. His story and facts about him aren't mine to tell but I felt that I really wanted to do something to show some kind of remembrance for him. So being me, I thought up a design and did my nails. Lots of pics for this one, it was not only the most ambitious thing I've tried this far it was also a PITA to get good pics of.
I started by painting four nails red using WnW Red Red and my thumbs black using LA Colors Circuits (completely opaque in one coat!):
Sorry for the craptastic pic :( It was just a quick one with no real effort.
I debated for quite a while on how to do the blue stripes. I thought about tape and that just wouldn't line up quite right so I free-handed them as well as the 01 for his car number. The blue is Fingerpaints Cerulean Seascape and the white is Art Deco in white (no name). I realized after doing the one that his didnt have the bottom part so I got rid of it. And another bad pic sorry! I took it last night.
Lastly, I used black and painted "Dont stop" on all 8 fingers because every time he'd go racing he would always post: "Gone racin! Don't stop, get it, get it! Next stop victory lane!" I used a Stripe Rite in metallic lilac (no name again) and another Art Deco (in gold glitter) for the inside of his number on my left thumb. On my right I did his nickname RT using the white Art Deco again.
Remember you can click the pics to enlarge them! I'm sorry I know its kind of hard to read and I could lie and say its easier in real life but it really isn't lol. I might end up putting white or something over it :)
This is obviously him, when he won a race recently :) You can kinda see the car and numbers and in the second pic you can see the Confederate flag on the top (my inspiration). He called his car 'the wife' and on the back it said Troublesome. He was referred to as crazy with a heart of gold. That's it for me on this post, remember to never take people for granted and always appreciate who and what you have. That's definitely something I need to work harder on for sure.
As always, thanks for stopping by :)
