Fingerpaints Haul

So after the Nina disappointment I was not very happy :( But this weekend I got to go to Sally's :D Fingerpaints is on sale for $3.99 this month and when you buy 3 you get a super cute little tote bag. Plus I had my 15% off coupon. So I got 7 new polishes, yay! Here they are:
Easel Come, Easel Go!; Where Art Renoir?; Well-Cultured Pearl; Be A Pal-ette; Purple Pallette; Inkblot Blue and Cerulean Seascape
All so very pretty :) I really think the silver Easel Come, Easel Go! is almost an exact dupe for Zoya's Trixie. Though I just painted a little test spot of both. The black Where Art Renoir has very pretty silver glitter in it. And the Be A Pal-ette is super pretty has kind of an underlying blue sheen. I took a few pics to try to show it:

Came through in the pics better than I thought it would actually. I'm pleasantly surprised since purple can be really hard to get a decent pic of. So the cashier did two separate transactions so that I would get two bags which was pretty nice of her and I got a 15% off coupon on both receipts. Plus my birthday is this month and as a present from Sally's I got an email coupon for $10 off my next purchase. I'm predicting another trip there before the end of the month lol. Sorry for such a pic heavy post though I must admit that's my style lol. Another post tomorrow for my nails of the week and a fail. As always thanks for stopping by :)

Nails of the week? Probably not.

So here are my nails of the week:

I started out with Nina Ultra Pro in Blu Blaze which in the bottle is a really pretty neon blue kind of color. On the nails though it dries into a matte dark blue. Its super streaky and dries so quickly it actually was difficult to work with. But I persisted and this is 3 coats later. Oh yeah, and I still had visible nail lines :( So I added some tips using LA Colors Craze  silver which has no name but has the code BCC 571. And then since that was just kinda blah I did some stamping with MASH plate 08. I know how hard it is to get every stamp perfect so I deliberately changed the angle of the stamp so I'd get different results. It did end up glossy after topcoating but I'm still not very happy with it.
Matte after adding tips
I did my toes at the same time and they came out super cute, all springtime-y which is why I grabbed the Nina in the first place since it seemed like a spring type color in the bottle :(
Do you have any Nina polishes? Are they all like that? This is the only bottle I have of this brand.
I'll probably end up re-doing them this week at some point, just depends what all is goin on and how much I continue to hate them lol. As always thanks for stopping by :)

Zoya Haul

So like most people who are interested in nail polish and such I participated in Zoya's Earth Day polish exchange. After waiting on pins and needles for what seemed like ever, I finally got my order! I was pretty confused looking online when I had the polish and then a separate order for my free sugar scrub. So being anxious to get all my prettys I kept checking online on my orders. The sugar scrub shipped out like a week later but they both come today. They shipped the polish out via FedEx smartpost which means FedEx most of the way with the final delivery by good old USPS. Now suffice it to say I never ever ever want anything shipped this way again as it was the slowest most ridiculous thing ever. It took 2 days for my sugar scrub to get here and like 2 weeks for the polish :( But complaining aside I'm happy that they are finally here and now I can happily do my nails. So onto the haul:

Raven, Mimi, Tart, Trixie, Brooke, Gilda, Crystal and Charla
Soooo pretty! I also received as free gifts:

Zoya polish remover and nail prep

Color spoons for the new beach and surf set

Lemon Dream sugar scrub. It smells delicious!
I received a booklet of all the current Zoya colors with names and pics which is just cruel punishment since it makes me want more lol. Well I really better go and do something with my nails lol, so hard to choose I've gotten so many pretty colors lately! Thanks for stopping by :)

Weekend Haul

As promised a haul from this weekend:

First stop was Ulta since I had a coupon that I had to use before the end of the month. Left to right is an Ulta base coat, High Roller, Celebutante, Sun-Sational, Mint Condition and Sweetheart Pink.
Saturday we went to a neighborhood yard sale where I picked up Sally Hansen~Blue Moon, Revlon~Firecracker, Revlon~Coral Heat, Creative~Gotcha, Sinful Colors~Tapping Nails and OPI~I'm Not Really A Waitress.
I'm not really a red kind of girl but for a quarter a piece (75 cents for the OPI) I decided to pick them up. Guess I better do some red manis lol.
I think that's it for now, I should really go clean but I'll probably just end up doin my nails again lol. As always thanks for stopping by :)

New Nails, an ouch! and Naked Nails

My last mani was lookin pretty bad so I decided to redo my nails despite being pretty busy this weekend. So here's a pic of my naked nails after filing to a more square shape:
Unfortunately between the time of taking the polish off, showering and getting dressed my thumbnail got bent back hence the ouch in the title:

But no worries, it didn't really break just kind of cracked. I'm not sure really all I know is its ok and I put new polish on it after covering the whole nail in strengthener/hardener lol. So new mani:
Blue Moon from Sally Hansen
with clouds
So that took 3 coats of the Blue Moon it was super sheer. And to tell you the truth I absolutely hate it. I got it as part of a haul (post to come later!) and its really a very smooth formula but its like it won't dry completely. Its been over 24 hours and I can poke it with my nail and it leaves a dent :( But after finding out that April was blue for autism month I decided to do it. I still like the idea, maybe next time I'll stick to a darker, less sheer blue. As always, Thanks for stopping by :)
